Great News for our Clients! 

Beginning January 2023 under the Lynn Greer Retirement Income Tax Cut Act of 2022 the first $6,000 in taxable retirement income for those 65 and older is now exempt from state of Alabama  taxation.  Individuals who draw off IRAs and 401Ks now will enjoy some of the same tax benefits as those who draw off qualified pensions according to the eyes of the state. This law amended Section 40-18-19, Code of Alabama 1975.
