We are very pleased to announce that Sam Rocke of Ash Brokerage will be the guest presenter at our next chapter meeting on April 22, 2021.
The 2021 tax landscape is constantly evolving. Join Sam as he breaks down the proposed tax changes and offers planning strategies to help mitigate the tax risk to your clients’ portfolios. During this session, Sam will discuss how these proposed tax changes will impact estate planning and income tax planning.
Sam Rocke is driven to provide the best possible results for individuals, families, and businesses as they acquire insurance coverage. As leader of the life insurance sales support teams at Ash Brokerage, his teams help advisors navigate product recommendations, objectively evaluate existing coverage, and craft planning recommendations for their clients.

President's Message
Ten Roth Strategies Presentation
Many thanks again to Jon Splaine and Bill Cass for their support of our chapter presentation on March 18, entitled “Ten Roth Strategies to Hedge the Risk of Higher Taxes.” Here is a link to a resource that was referenced in the presentation. Jon Splaine is our local representative with Putnam Investments; he can be reached at (Email) [email protected] and (Mobile) 205-353-1297.
NextGen Highlight
On February 1, Ross Kennedy and Marla McCully hosted a NexGen virtual event in which they discussed the financial planning profession, tips on internships and how to get involved more actively within our chapter. The subsequent feedback from the nearly 20 participants was quite positive.
Grateful
The board is especially grateful for the generous support of our 28 external partners and 13 internal partners this year. This support amounts to a 46% increase in the number of chapter partnerships we enjoyed in 2020. Mac Frasier, David LeCompte and Pat Morris have done a tremendous job in support of our partnership initiatives (which date back to September of last year).
We will be excellent stewards of the trust and enthusiasm that have been invested in our chapter, too. In addition to the quality of our monthly chapter meetings, ancillary programs and the symposium event in September, I believe you will see enhanced connectivity, innovation and value in our chapter deliverables throughout the year.
Let’s Talk
As a chapter, there’s no better way to connect with each other than in forums that are relevant. That’s why I would like to hear from you. What are your thoughts on how FPA of North Alabama can connect with planners in your community? What kinds of activities, presentations, and services could our chapter offer that would add value to your career?
I look forward to hearing from—and seeing you—soon.
All the best,
Scott
