We are very pleased to announce that Anoop Mishra, Regional Executive for the Birmingham Branch of the Atlanta Fed, will be the guest presenter at our next chapter meeting on May 21st, 2020. The economic impacts of the coronavirus are unprecedented. So are the steps the Federal Reserve is taking to address them. Mr. Mishra will provide some perspectives on the crisis, the Fed’s response and prospects for economic recovery.

Anoop Mishra is a vice president and regional executive at the Birmingham Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He is responsible for the Birmingham Branch’s board of directors, leads the Birmingham Branch’s community economic development outreach activities, and oversees its economic and financial education programs. Before joining the Bank, Mishra owned a business consulting firm and was previously the chief executive officer of WorkforceQA, a provider of employment screening and compliance services. He was the chief operating officer for EDPM, also a provider of employment screening solutions, prior to its acquisition by WorkforceQA. Mishra has also worked for Accenture as a manager in its strategy practice in financial services, and he worked for Operation New Birmingham, a nonprofit urban development group. He also has served on the Atlanta Fed’s Human Capital Advisory Council.
